We suggest introducing any superfood to the body slowly as outlined in our welcome letter. The average adult usage guideline (4–6 capsules/day) is just a beginning amount for a subject in reasonably good health. Every body is different and it is important to listen to the body. Drink plenty of pure water to flush out your body"s toxins. Adjust the amount depending on your diet, activity level and health status. Athletes or people with health challenges may need a higher amount. If a body has any health challenges, such as sensitive stomach, inflammatory bowel symptoms, kidney or liver compromise, high blood pressure or hypertension, heart problems or a sensitive body, we suggest a more gradual introduction than usual. For example, start at half the suggested beginning amount and hold that for the first ten days to see how the body responds. If the body readily accepts the new superfood, then incrementally increase the amount every ten days thereafter up to the desired amount. Children should start with half the suggested beginning adult usage guideline (or less depending on body weight) and adjust gradually upwards. Each body is an individual and the exact amount needed to produce results depends on genetics, health history, quality of diet, lifestyle and many other factors. With a supplement, one can isolate individual nutrients and run tests for their effectiveness
using specific amounts based on body weight. But a whole food product has too many nutrients (over 5,000) to isolate and does not have therapeutic quantities of any one nutrient. More details published in our e-newsletter article: How Much Do I Take/Give?
Our general guidelines are to use up to one capsule per 20 pounds of body weight, up to about 60 pounds, for maintenance. One can use less for sensitive bodies, those with previous digestive, high blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver issues
and those that already eat a fairly good diet (no diet pop, artificial sweeteners, fried foods, fast foods, fattening desserts every day, etc.). One can use more for a body with symptoms, active infections, acute injuries, recent surgery or
any degenerative disease. Over 60 pounds, we suggest one additional capsule per 30 pounds of additional body weight for maintenance. One can increase the maintenance amount by 1.5-2.0, times as needed and tolerated by the body, for advanced
health purposes. For some extreme cases, 1-2 capsules every 1-2 hours may be necessary to bring the body back into balance and produce wellness.

We suggest starting a new superfood gradually while continuing to take your previous vitamins, supplements and herbs. You eventually may be able to reduce these supplements because superfood products provide more absorption and utilization of
vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and essential fatty acids (such as Omega oils) than isolated supplements. As this super nutrition wakes up your body, the intestines are cleansed and your body will become more efficient needing less
nutrient supplementation.
It is not a good idea to start a cleansing program at the same time since superfoods are very cleansing themselves. Starting a colon-cleansing program or some detoxifying herbs at the same time as a superfood, could produce too much cleansing.
It is not a good idea to introduce any new supplement at the same time as other dietary changes. Do one thing at a time to monitor the results.

At this time, we know of no known contraindications using BioSuperfood/BioPreparation with any vitamin, herb, supplement, homeopathic remedy, other holistic products or drug. Since BioSuperfood/BioPreparation increases the absorption and utilization of everything that is ingested, one may want to monitor the need for vitamins, supplements and especially drugs, to see if the amount can be reduced.

Scientific studies are only valid if one were to get their Vitamin C, Vitamin E, calcium, etc. source from the exact isolated supplement (most likely synthetic) used in the study. Here is why Minimum Daily Requirements (MDR) or Recommended Dietary
Allowances (RDA) is an unintended deception when comparing to whole food products.
Recent studies show the body absorbs and utilizes only 20-25% of isolated vitamins and supplements it ingests. When the source is not an isolated vitamin or supplement but a whole food product, this
absorption and utilization rate increases to 90-95%. The reason is, Nature did not intend for us to eat isolated vitamins or supplements but whole foods. Modern research shows Vitamin C needs rutin, bioflavanoids, Vitamin E, selenium and zinc
to work properly. But what other complementary vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes are needed to make Vitamin C work that scientists have not yet discovered? So, when one takes an isolated Vitamin C tablet (pure ascorbic acid) to boost
their immune system when one has a cold, the body has to search out and even rob the rest of the dietary food and body for these complementary nutrients to make the supplemental ascorbic acid work properly. This is why one has to take a high
therapeutic quantities (e.g., 2,000-5,000 mg) of Vitamin C to get results. So, when the minimum needed is 75-90 mg and one takes a supplement with a therapeutic quantity of 2,000 mg of Vitamin C, one gets a false sense of security that all the
Vitamin C is being absorbed and utilized and all is well in the body.
When comparing the MDR, RDA or prescribed therapeutic quantities of supplements to whole foods, one must look at real results in terms of absorption and utilization in the body, not allopathically prescribed dosages according to Western medicine.
For example, if one takes a 1000 mg isolated calcium supplement and multiplies by the absorption rate of 25%, one absorbs only 250 mg (1000 mg X 0.25). However, whole food products have a 90-95% absorption rate because they contain all the complementary
vitamins (i.e., Vitamin D), minerals (i.e., magnesium), amino acids, enzymes, etc. that Nature dictated are needed to make calcium work. So, getting 350 mg of calcium from a whole food product will yield absorption of 333 mg (350 mg X 0.95).
Since 333 mg absorption from whole foods is better than 250 mg from the isolated supplement, the whole food product containing only 350 mg calcium is better than an isolated calcium supplement advertising 1000 mg.

Since superfood products improve digestion, it is best to take it with meals (30 minutes before if trying to lose weight) but it will benefit you no matter when you take it. Rather than skip an amount, go ahead and take it between meals if you forget during the meal. For maximum results, spread out a superfood product in equal amounts throughout the day (for example, take 2 capsules every meal instead of 6 capsules at breakfast).

Studies show that it generally takes at least 90 days for any permanent change in the body to take effect. This includes changing personal habits, quitting smoking, dieting to lose weight, results from natural supplements, etc. Some people notice dramatic changes the first week while others notice gradual changes over several months. People who are healthy may not notice anything dramatic but then realize after a few months that they are sleeping less, have more energy, have cut a minute off their running time, their hair is thicker and shinier or they can handle stress better. Some people notice a general feeling of well being, while others noticed they have not gotten sick. The changes can be subtle and take a while to occur. A superfood product is not a “magic pill" to see if it cures all your ills. Taking a superfood product is like changing the oil in your car"”preventive maintenance. If your doctor told you to eat more fruits and vegetables, would you stop if you
did not see a dramatic improvement in your health?
Superfood products, such as microalgae, are not only a whole food but also are a highly concentrated superfood delivering much more nutrients, antioxidants, etc. per gram when compared to foods. The developer of BioSuperfood/BioPreparation,
Dr. Michael Kiriac, states that “one jar of microalgae concentrate equals 12 truckloads of alfalfa". Therefore, the benefits from taking this concentrated product cannot be equaled by simply eating a healthy diet or taking normal supplements.

There could be many reasons why you body is not responding. Listed below are suggestions we have accumulated from our clients and based on our nutritional experience with the products.

Incomplete digestion, sluggish intestines and a clogged bowel are all conditions that will benefit from superfoods. However, the old plaque and gunk coating these organs must first be cleaned out. Gas, bloating, nausea, loose stools or any change in bowel movements are a sign the body is cleaning out first. Once this passes, the body will be able to absorb more nutrients from food and supplements and more efficiently eliminate wastes and toxins. If a subject throws up after the first few introductions, it means too much superfood has been given too fast. Follow the instructions below under excessive detoxing.

Drugs and supplements have side effects because one is giving isolated ingredients in large therapeutic quantities to the body far in excess of what Nature intended it to receive. On the other hand, whole food products do not contain large therapeutic quantities of any one ingredient but can cause unintended consequences (for example, excessive detoxing symptoms). Excessive signs of detoxing (for example, increased thirst, lethargy, loss of appetite, headaches, change in digestion, rash, itching, outbreak of sores, abscesses, new lumps, vomiting, loose stools or diarrhea, dizziness) or exacerbation of current symptoms (for example, flu symptoms, tumors growing larger) are not side effects but signs the body is responding to the new superfood. A rash is not a sign the body is “allergic" to the superfood but indicates the body is working hard to eliminate toxins. The reason for the rash is that the body (intestines, kidneys, liver) has not had time to boost up to 100% efficiency yet and therefore must push the excessive toxins out the largest excretory organ of the body"”the skin. Options include:
It all depends on the individual"s constitution. Obviously, if the symptoms are serious (for example, diarrhea or vomiting) always consult a doctor.

Triggering a healing crisis after starting a new superfood product is common. The imbalance or illness was already present in the body but without symptoms. Chronic low-grade infections or viruses sometime hide in the body, appearing only when your immune system is compromised (e.g., fatigued or stressed). After one boosts the immune system with the superfood product, the body can now stabilize this imbalance and expel the source. One can either take more of the superfood product to further support the immune system and get over the illness quicker or take less of the superfood product if your symptoms are too unbearable. The choice is up to you. Rest assured that you have triggered your body"s own natural ability to heal.

In cases where people have a sensitive body or lead a “clean" lifestyle, BioSuperfood/ BioPreparation can supply too much energy at night. While this is of great benefit during the day, one also needs sleep to repair and rejuvenate the body. If this unintended consequence should occur, we suggest taking BioSuperfood/BioPreparation before dinner and not after. In extremely sensitive cases, one might need to reduce the last daily amount in the evening (for example, 3 capsules + 2 capsules + 1 capsule) or take all capsules before 4:00 PM.

Many doctors do not have the nutritional knowledge to understand how nutritional products work. Doctors are used to getting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), FDA-approved double-blind placebo studies and color glossy dosage charts on how to use prescribed drugs and medicine. These cost thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of dollars. Without this information, their level of comfort in using a new holistic product is not very high.

In order to advertise a product as a cure for any disease or symptom, manufacturers must have FDA-approved, scientific proof that their ingredients or product does exactly what they say it does. These double-blind placebo tests cost hundreds of thousands (even millions) of dollars. With a supplement, one can test individual ingredients for their effectiveness and therapeutic usage. In this case, it is the ingredients that are doing the work. With a whole food product like BioSuperfood/BioPreparation, with over 5,000 individual ingredients, it is not the product that is doing the work but the body. A true holistic product wakes up the body"s own natural ability to heal, therefore, it is NOT the product (or individual ingredient) that is doing the healing. That is the fundamental difference between a supplement and a holistic whole food product.
One claim BioSuperfood/BioPreparation can make is:
“A source of antioxidants for maintenance of good health."

Bio-Algae Concentrates is the research name used by Dr. Michael Kiriac, as he experimented with many different algae species in an attempt to eradicate the cancer epidemic in their chickens, rabbits and mink in the former Soviet Union. Based on this 25+years of research, BioSuperfood was released in 1999 and BioPreparation subsequently in 2004, as commercial nutritional productscontaining the four specific microalgae species of Spirulina pacifica, Spirulina platensis, Dunaliella salina and astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis and absolutely nothing else. The manufacturer does not have large advertising and marketing budgets like the large conglomerate drug companies. They have chosen to distribute their revolutionary holistic products through caring healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, chiropractors, nutritionists) and dedicated holistic distributors (like Optimum Choices, LLC) who can explain that BioSuperfood/BioPreparation are not supplements and work differently than 95% of the bottles on the retail health food or vitamin store shelves. Through the wisdom of these holistic experts, the client can obtain maximum benefits for their clients.
